Born and raised in Normandy, France, Simon's love for film and sports intersected early on, as he began playing roller hockey at the age of five. He was a standout player, eventually serving as the captain of the U18 French national team and participating in two world championships, earning a bronze medal.
After high school, Simon went on to study cinema in New York and worked in the US for two years.
Now based in Paris with over a decade of experience, including six years as a first camera assistant at the highest level, Simon has developed a mastery of gimbal operation as well as a deep understanding of the technical aspects of filmmaking.
As a camera operator, Simon draws on his unique background to bring a fresh perspective on set, smoothly capturing dynamic and complex shots using rollerblades, ice skates or a segway.
Simon brings a blend of technical expertise, athleticism and creative passion to each project he works on. He is dedicated to constantly improving his skills and is always seeking new and innovative ways to enhance his craft.
